Rudest employees around. Didn't even get in the store without being harassed by Miss Blonde Thing. All set. Lost a continuous customer, your candy isn't worth it.

Doesnt matter what time you go to eat their food, breakfast lunch and dinner is always amazing. Plus their salt water taffy is to die for. Peppermint is my favorite. And when rootbeer was the weekly flavor.

A wonderful place to get a nice meal and load up on some sweet treats when you're on vacation in York Maine. You can choose to sit at the old fashioned counter while having your frappe or bowl of ice cream, or take a table in the dining room while enjoying your meal. If you're able to, get a seat near one of the windows so you can watch other visitors to the area as they pass by. And don't forget to spend some time on the sidewalk watching them make delicious Goldenrod Kisses (saltwater taffy) through the windows. The cutting and wrapping machine has been a source of fascination for many visitors for decades, and never loses it's attraction.

It is a tiny bit tight, but the staff is so friendly and the food is so good! And it's not break the bank expensive. They're very willing to work with food allergies, just let them know. There's a very quaint aesthetic to it. And the sweet shop part of it is so beautifully old fashioned, that you can't help but wonder at it. 100% will go again next time we come up here!

It was so delicious, its a perfect treat for a hot day. It was two years ago, but would visit next time i am in that area. It was so good. I love the vanilla ice cream and all the sweet treats.

This is where when u walk through the doors at any age...you become your little kid self again !! The smells are heavenly and the service is wonderfully happy and aiming to please. Of course the taffy is unlike any that you will ever taste anywhere else!!! Soooooooo yummy!!!

Delicious homemade saltwater taffy in a variety of flavors, located right by the beach. Windows on the street so you can watch the process, purchasing inside - you can choose how many of which flavor you want. They also have a large assortment of other chocolate candies as well as a full restaurant menu.

Great historical place that spans generations of memories with an indoor old time malt bar and world famous taffy made on premise.

It was a fairly good place they required masks of course but it was very crowded and that's my only complaint

Great ice cream in a cute cottage feel restaurant. The food is good, but nothing over the top. It's simple and tasty casual dining. I have been coming here since I was 4 on my summer vacations and it is a staple whenever I am around. I live the coffee float with mocha chip ice cream.

Nice diner style feel, friendly atmosphere and pretty good food for what could easily be an over priced, commercialized, non friendly place. Which this place is NOT! Frappes (what I grew up calling a "milk shake") are DELICIOUS! Candies and blueberry pie were also worth writing home about (which I did). Savory food items were good enough to buy if for no other reason than to continue to eat and go back for more just to feel good about getting more desserts 😁Def going back before my return trip home

I've been coming here since I was a little girl with my Grandparents. This is the best taffy in the world, in my opinion.

Service was very good. Food good but not exceptional. Prices in the normal range (55 for 5 breakfast). Outside seating, but it's in the sidewalk for the most part. Only real down side which is a pet peeve for me is an upstairs rest room.

Great place for breakfast and lunch and dessert, never been for dinner. They have all your normal foods, but very tasty! Fun atmosphere and great Taffy.

Best place ever for salt water taffy!

Many years ago I discovered this place and just found out they ship a few years ago. Every summer I look forward to the best salt water taffy in the world and Goldenrod delivers. Thank you!

I wanted to give them 5 stars, but I have to be honest. I go here because I have for 40 years. Not much has changed, but sometimes change is required. The food is, the sofa fountain and candy bar serve the same food I have enjoyed all these years. The staff is good while maybe not as friendly as in the past. Over priced and average quality food, but if you want to experience life from 40 years ago this is your spot. There are vastly better places to eat within a stones throw, but none of them have the pull of sitting in the same chairs as I did as a child.

Great place to go with the family. They have a restaurant inside with diner type food and they also have ice cream. I usually go for their salt water Taffy. There's a Taffy machine inside that is often running and is fun to watch. Staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend stopping in. The salt water Taffy made here might be the best in the USA!

Definitely one of our favorite places in York. We eat here at least twice a week all summer long. The Ice Cream is the best around!!!

Have been going here since I was a child. Wonderful family memories getting taffy, ice cream and a good lunch with family during summer vacations. I haven’t made it there in years because adulting hasn’t allowed for it, but my Nana just had a couple boxes of the taffy kisses mailed to me in Houston, TX! Nothing better than those peanut butter kisses! It is such a great gift idea and so thankful to have such a great childhood memory still around!

They had nice outside seating in the shade which was great. The food was amazing and there black raspberry oreo icecream made in house was out of this world!

Only can attest to their ice cream, but it was awesome! Kiddie cones were huge, root beer floats were amazing, etc etc. Highly recommend!

Fantastic candy with a not-too-bad dine-in scene too. You MUST try the saltwater taffy; I'd recommend a 1 lb variety pack (75 pieces). There's a dozen flavors and each one is made right there on-scene (beautiful location!). If you do a mail order, expect it to come incredibly fast. I got some candy shipped 1,000+ miles away and it came within like 2 days- amazing! The Goldenrod is a wonderful place!

Great sandwiches on the AC only half the tables so nicely distanced. Service and food was great!
